The reference for cell date values (t="d" attribute value) is in "ECMA-376,
Fifth Edition, Part 1 - Fundamentals And Markup Language Reference" (d/ldable
from the web, use a search engine), in the pdf doc in the zip, in par.
18.18.11.
Date values are to be in ISO 8601 format.

Due to some private affairs I didn't have much time when I got back from
vacation, hopefully next week I'll have some more time to look into your
patches (thanks for those).
