Follow-up Comment #5, bug #55267 (project octave): The default branch (and now the stable branch) still contains a lot of untranslated strings related to new features. These will be translated soon and definitely before the 5.0.0 release. Regarding the gtk-warning issue (it does not occur on y ubuntu/gnome system), there is really not much we can do. One possibility might be to turn the native dialogs off by default.
