Hi all,
My systems person is having trouble compiling openexr. I am forwarding
this from him (he is to lazy to do it himself :_) Any help or advice
would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
--------------------------
When I follow the instructions in the INSTALL doc and the README,
I get what looks to be like an image library generated and I get the
resultant config.status and other files generated by the
./configure && make && make install process
At the end of it, there doesn't appear to be any binary executables
created. The bin directory was empty and the openexr directory (created
by the uncompressing of the tarball) still only had its header file and
c++ file.
make test didnt appear to throw any errors nor were there any errors in
any other part of the install.
I am really unsure as to what is going on.
Do i need to enable some features? Did the install not find any of my X
libraries? I tried with and without the --prefix=PATH option,
(performing a make distclean between them). Do I need to specify --bindir ?
I am running on a reasonably standard linux build. As far as I can tell,
there is no reason why the default process SHOULDN'T work (ie. not
feeding configure any extra flag options)
Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Anyone who would like to send a precompiled binary that we can try to
run would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance...
