   The things not fully covered yet are:
     - Some specific context options for special case conversions 
       (pdf_text_cmp and pdf_text_filter).
     - Windows host encoding support.
     - Unit tests for pdf_text_cmp and pdf_text_filter.

Please create the appropriate tasks in flyspray (in the NEXT state)
and close #3.
