it works for me (tm), thought the unit tests of check itself do not work with windows as they use fork(), (according to Chris)

MinGW support is only available in SVN, it will make it into 0.9.7, which won't take another two years but might be a couple months. Yes, the check tests themselves do not even execute because they use fork. MSVC support may or may not make it into 0.9.7.
