[Phpgroupware-developers] proposed 0.9.18 release plan

Hi all,

The coordination team had discussed the 0.9.18 release and we propose
the following release schedule:

* 31 Aug Soft API freeze 
  - all api mods need coordintor approval of posted patches

* 6 Sept Hard API free 
  - no new features for the API

* 7 Sept Release of 0.9.17.900 tech preview
  - full HEAD snapshot

* 20 Sept App freeze
  - no new features in 18
* 22 Sept 0.9.17.951/0.9.18RC1 released 18 branched from HEAD

The final release date is dependent on testing of the RC.

The reason for the 0.9.17.900 release is to enable devs to play with the
new features of the API available in HEAD, with some certainty.

I think the following should the supported environment

PHP 4.3-5.1 (5.2 support will be determined post 5.2 release)
MySQL 4.0 +
pgsql 7.3 - 8.1
mssql 2k3 (others?)
Apache 1.3/2.0 (2.2 subject to testing)
lighttpd + fastcgi would be nice TBC
