Thanks for the suggestion but a corrupted file doesn't seem to be
it. I downloaded the stable tar and re-ran the install with exactly
the same result - phpgwapi is listed with a red cross in the
Apllications section.

I downgraded my PHP 4.23 install to 4.21 but that doesn't fix it. I
even upgraded Zend Optimiser to v2.0 which installed fine and
noticeably improved the speed of all the PHP applications.
