The problem with a hardcore-mode is that Pingus is a pretty static
game, you go into a level and you go out of a level, nearly always on
exactly the same way. There isn't much room for extra exits, optional
ways or stuff like that, since the pingus always walk in one direction
without a direct way to turn around or such. So if hardcore-mode
should be fun there would need to be extra-exits, optional ways, ways
to resuce pingus or extra items to gather, but in a static game like
Pingus that is really hard to do, if not almost impossible. Sure some
extra action and such might help, but it really might not work all
that well.
