dosfstools-2.7-1

I recommend that you take this out, because not everybody needs DOS.

eject-2.0.9-2

I've never used this, and recommend that you take it out. The functionality should be reproduced with the mount program.

hdparm-4.1-2

I don't know how much this is used, but I only recall manually using it once, or twice.

bash-2.05-8

You listed ash below. That should be good enough for a base install.

losetup-2.11g-5

I could be wrong, but I don't think that you'll need this.

hotplug-2001_04_24-11

I'm not entirely sure what this is, but I don't think that you'll need this.

logrotate-3.5.9-1

I don't recall using this, although I do know what it is.

info-4.0b-3

I usually don't make use of this, although I know what it is.

diffutils-2.7.2-2

I usually don't make use of this, although it might come in handy. However, this might come in handy.

man-1.5i2-6

I'd like to have this available, but for a base install, it might not be necessary.

tmpwatch-2.8-2

I don't know exactly what this does, but it doesn't seem all that necessary for a base install. I don't recall ever running it manually.

which-2.12-3

This might come in handy, but doesn't seem necessary for a base install.

authconfig-4.1.19-1
kudzu-0.99.23-1

These both seem unecessary for a base install.

kernel-2.4.7-10

I've never used this before...just kidding!! ;^p

quota-3.01pre9-3

I think that this can go.

Everybody might want to check out these:

http://www.busybox.net/

The reason I suggest it, is because I don't know much about making my own distro, or how much you guys know. In other words, no insult intended; only trying to help.

Busybox is a replacment for the bash and ash shells and other utilities. I haven't evaluated it, yet, so take it for what it's worth.
