A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Beda Kosata <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: BKchem
System name: bkchem
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
My project is a chemical drawing program. I would like to provide chemists with
an alternative to commercial chemical drawing programs.
The main goals are:
- convenient 2D drawing of molecules (undo, aligning, rotation, templates,
scaling), reactions etc.
- export to SVG
- export to other open graphical formats (PNG etc.)
- export to open formats for chemical data (mainly CML http://www.xml-cml.org/)
- XML based format for information storage
- platform independence
- localization
The code is now pretty functional and ready for first preview release. It is
not, however, available anywhere on the net now.
