Details:
I was trying to checkout a CVS repository for read-write access. I saw on the
"My Account Conf" page a message that said "Your Savannah password is useless
for cvs, rsync, scp and sftp. You have to register a SSH Shared key for those
purposes." This was underneath a link that said "Edit the 1 SSH Public Key
registered".
Because I am not familiar with the ins and outs of SSH, I thought that an "SSH
Shared key" and an "SSH Public Key" were different things. The message was in
bold text so I assumed it was warning me that what I had uploaded wasn't good
enough. Eventually though, I managed to checkout the CVS repository in
question read-write without doing anything more with the SSH keys I had
uploaded.
