  Project name: cds4grabs

Foreground:
We (Chennai LUG - http://www.chennailug.org/wiki/Main_Page) started the "CDs
for grabs" webpage for people to get to know the contact details of
individuals having CDs in a particular area within a city.

The cds4grabs project aims to expand this concept to different cities,
states, countries and continents!. 

Advantages:
People in some cities or countries may not have the network connectivity to
download huge ISO images. But, even on dial-up or through GLUG meetings they
will be able to get this "cds4grabs" database list, and contact the person
near their place through e-mail or phone. They can exchange ISO CDs for blank
CDs, either in person, or through snail-mail.

Implementation:
The database can be indexed and written using LaTeX.



Other Software Required:
------------------------
  Project will use LaTeX and hence, we can make the book in .ps, .pdf that
are independent of operating systems.
