You do have to remember that I develop RPM, and I'm in a need of a
test case to ensure that payloads > 2Gb are tested, and that the
non-trivial performance cost is documented.

Meanwhile, the sks-dump files are NOT compressed, nor is there any
way to achieve compression until someone actually chooses to do that.
