This hanging in MapFrame bug worries me. I really can't think what it
is, I've never seen anything like it. You say that other tk stuff,
including the libtclobjc tests, work? But no Swarm code? Which X11,
tcl, and tk are you using? Absolutely nothing is being drawn on the
screen?

MapFrame is somewhere down deep in tk, part of the code that (I think)
draws windows. Unless we can think of something particular to you that
could be the problem, I think the next step has to be rebuilding
libtk4.0 with -g, so we can get debugging info from tk itself. This is
going to be unpleasant, but maybe a fresh libtk will shake something
loose.
