I'm running a simulation right now that uses 4 swarms and a Value2dDisplay.
The world size is 400 by 400 and the value display is used to represent
elevations. Before I added in the elevation display, the sim ran at about
two frames per second. However, it now takes at least 4 seconds to generate
each frame. As we will be increasing the size of the world and running many
iterations, this speed is unacceptable. If I am correct, the delay comes from
the repaint time for the value display. If this is the case, is it possible
to avoid redrawing the entire screen each step? Thanks!!!
