    Just a P.S. to what Rick said, HP also may simply have hid the libs
where you weren't expecting.  (It probably didn't arrive from the plant
without X11 libs.)  On my B132-L, HPUX 10.x, they are at:

        /usr/lib/X11R6/libX11.2
        
I know not what the .2 is for.
