I found that its much easier to learn and mess around with Heatbugs than
to read a book.
Benedikt wrote a GREAT tutorial on Heatbugs which you can get at:

I always like to have a book/manual around for a security blanket but
have become a firm believer in "Learn by doing..."

Have you downloaded the Breeder Libraries from the User Community pages?
I have, but havent used them yet...
