As far as I can tell his argument amounts to "bad things happens,
people get afraid, and then big companies will exploit that fear to
get more power." This is supposed to be a novel observation? (And of
course we must not question these companies because our mutual funds
are all tied-up with the same..)
The Code Red things amounts to someone exploiting a programming
mistake in the Microsoft web server and some other web-related
servers (but not in the same way). By his argument, we should shut
down the web because it is a dangerous protocol.
