Passing Co-ordinates Using Java

In the HeatbugObserverSwarm there is the statement :
worldRaster.setButton$Client$Message
  (3, heatbugDisplay, new Selector (heatbugDisplay.getClass (),
                                 "makeProbeAtX$Y",true));
Is there a way to pass the co-ordinates (or the object clicked on)
into a method using only java code - not utilising objective c ?
