I've asked the administrator in our windows lab to install Xemacs so I
can see what it does. I used to use it in the old days, but when
building swarm started to require Emacs, I switched over because it was
too much trouble/file space to maintain 2 emacs with 2 sets of packages,
etc.
On the Emacs web site, I note a guy named Steve Kemp
(http://www.gnusoftware.com/Emacs/Lisp/) posted his Xemacs startup file
and he proposes:
(setq default-shell "D:\\tools\\tcsh.exe")
(require 'modes)
I don't suppose it would be that easy, would it....
C:\\cygwin\bin\bash.exe, I mean.
I'll let you know if I find a solution.

Hi All,
has someone configured Xemacs to run the Cygwin bash shell (M-x
shell) instead of the default c:\ prompt?
Many thanks in advance,
Pietro
