Cygwin and Win2k SP3--possible problem

I just saw a report, only partly confirmed, that Windows 2000 Service Pack 3
is at least in some circumstances breaking some parts of Cygwin (XFree
support was the piece I saw mentioned specifically).  The problem seems to
occur when Cygwin is (re)installed on top of SP3, not when SP3 is installed
on top of Cygwin.  Given the importance of Cygwin to Swarm/Windows, I
thought it worth posting here.  Sounds pretty rare, and I want to emphasize
that I've only seen very limited confirmation (e.g., couldn't find anything
on ntbugtraq or the cygwin pages), but if you're doing something on deadline
in Swarm and Win2k, perhaps tonight is not the night to play with SP3....
