[Synaptic-devel] rpm Version checks

Hello,

My apologies as this is a bit off topic.

I've just rebuilt an rpm for synaptic. Upon installing rpm told me that 
my current version was newer but for the life of me I cannot see why.

"package synaptic-0.47-0.fdr.3.rh73 (which is newer than 
synaptic-0.53.4-2) is already installed"

Surely 0.53.4 is newer than 0.47?

Anyone any ideas?
