Dear Miguel,

Our aim is to conform to native look and feels as much as possible.
What you want is non standard on Mac, so it should rather correspond
to a look and feel option in the preferences.

In fact, under MacOS, the main iconbar should be hidden altogether, by default,
and the mode dependent icons should be merged with the title bar.
