And then texmacs crashed when I tried to close that document (after having done those not-showing-up edits and flipped to source tree and back a few times).

The first line has a large gap between the underline and the text, the second line has a smaller gap - because of the descenders of g and p in the word "gap" (a comma will do the same thing). I see that it is "good" for the underline to not obscure the letters, but the varying gap looks very weird.

Also, on SVN commit 3625 if I try to edit the underline text, my edits don't show on the screen unless I go to Edit Source Tree and back again
