Update of task #12569 (project weechat):
Assigned to: None => flashcode

Follow-up Comment #1:
It is not planned (for now) to add client support for relay/weechat protocol
in WeeChat, because this protocol is not designed for that. It is designed for
a remote interface, so only for display. Many things would be missing to have
a real client like WeeChat use this protocol. Moreover, relay is a plugin (not
part of weechat core), so using it to view all buffers of a remote weechat is
not possible.
Here are some other solutions:
1) use relay/irc (irc proxy) to share your irc connections with another
weechat (now with devel version you can use one port for sharing all servers)
2) use an existing client (like QWeeChat, weechat-android, weechat.el, ...)
3) write a curses interface using relay/weechat protocol (if you need
something in terminal)
Last thing, in devel version, multiple layouts are now supported (you can
create many layouts with different name, and easily switch between them).
