James Barton send that mail only to me, so i'll forward it to the ml.
I don't think that lowering HP and Cost would be an "easier" way of
balancing the Ulf - it would make them slightly rarer, yes, but not
reduce their lethality in combat.
I personally prefer lowering HP and Resistances. Part of the "problem"
with the Ulf at the moment is that its resistances reduce the
effectiveness of frontline units against it. An Ulfserker does 4-4
damage to an Elvish Fighter; the Elvish Fighter does 4-4 damage to the
Ulfserker (instead of 5-4). Given that the Elvish Fighter also has
lower HP, this gives the Ulfserker too much of an edge.
If necessary, we could increase cost as well.
Hitpoints 40 -> 38
Resistances -> 0% (For all physical damage)
[Cost 18 -> 19?]

I do agree that the Ulfserker should be changed. I see some different
ways:
1) revert berserk abality to the one from 0.8.11 (do not really like
that idea) or
2) increase its cost and decrease its hitpoints or
3) increase its cost and decrease other stats (e.g. resitance)
I think we should do the 2nd thing for the next release and have a look
how it is about it than. Though I would prefer option 3). But this one
would need lots of testing, and we do not really have the time for it.
So I would speack infavour of incrasing the ulfs cost to 20 (maybe
even 21?) and decreasing its hitpoints.
