Well, I wouldn't mind.  Anyone around who wants to pay for such a
domain name?

The shortest domain name that came to mind is to refer to

http://avr.nongnu.org/

This is the "AVR super-project" on savannah, which just contains
pointers to the other sub projects, and acts as an umbrella in
particular for the avr-gcc-list and avr-chat mailing lists.
