The other question to confirm is whether something links with it (such as the demo apps). That is where interesting things could be quickly identified, particularly I find in the windows builds on anything that effects platform sdk versions.

This may be ready....I was actually looking for something to consider for a point release today since I am also doing a new cape build, and resolving this problem is very worth considering.

The compile with Microsoft Visual C++ 6 is very clean but I've run no
tests just compiles.

No change.

The compile with Borland C++ Builder 6.0 command line tools is clean
but the IDE compile is messy. The IDE throws an exception and dies
between the last compile and link. On restart the IDE begins with the
link and completes it. Doing "Rebuild" i.e. "clean" and "build" dies
at the same place. Again no tests just compiles.

No change.

I'm working on compiling on Linux 2.6 Intel CPU targeting Intel CPU.

This compile completes with no errors. No running code yet.

Then comes cross compiling on Linux 2.6 Intel CPU targeting ARM CPU.

This compile completes with no errors. No running code yet.
