This does not depend entirely on me. Cpio header layouts are standard
and changing them will mean breaking bbothb ackwar and inter-version
compatibility, which I'd like to avoid. If you plan to store bigger
files, I'd suggest you to use GNU tar. Its recent version (1.15.1)
supports POSIX.1-2001 archive format, which allows for non-limited file
sizes.
