hello there,
I'm just doing the turkish translation of gnubg. unfortunatelly I'm unable to
see the turkish chars in the status consol in gnugb. On a real console I'm
also unable to see turkish chars altough I did set the locales, LANG. the gui
itself does display turkish chars meanwhile, while this was a problem of
getting the proper font. I thought that this problem would also cause the
case that the turkish chars are not displayed in a real console, but there I
do have the right fonts I suppose (lat5-12, lat5-14 etc.). maybe it helps if
I say that a xterm console allows me to read and write turkish chars in the
console.
I would be thankfull if someone would have an idea on how to fix this problem.
the charset for turkish should be iso8859-9.
if someone here is using turkish please contact me concerning gnubg with
turkish translation. it would be good if someone could have a view over the
turkish usage of gnubg.
thank you very much in advance
akif
