Autogen dealt with the libtoolize vs glibtoolize issue. As you pointed
out in your followup email, configure.ac/configure.in will use system
directories.
If you have a bit of time and willing to search your system you can
issue this:
sudo /usr/libexec/locate.updatedb
When that completes do a:
locate glx.h
I'd be curious to know the output list you get for that is.
