Then for some reason to autoconf magic has picked up the wrong
directories, or missed the system ones. Can you send me a copy of the
files (email directly to my address):

Autogen dealt with the libtoolize vs glibtoolize issue. As you pointed
out in your followup email, configure.ac/configure.in will use system

If you have a bit of time and willing to search your system you can
issue this:

sudo /usr/libexec/locate.updatedb

When that completes do a:

locate glx.h

I'd be curious to know the output list you get for that is.
