Hmmm...If that'd be the case, is it well worth considering "NoScript" and "HTTPS Everywhere" as part of the default extensions suite?

Blocking nonfree software from being installed and run by websites is
one of the principal goals of IceCat.  Blocking snooping is
the other principal goal.

An absence of extensions is not a goal at all.  It is easy, after all,
to disable or delete an extension.  Therefore, we will continue
distributing IceCat with these extensions preinstalled.  While we're
at it, we will include other extensions that we think are important.
