If you want to start a new translation use the en.po file.
I just added it to our repository for this sole purpose.
It is attached to this email or you can get it by cloning the
GNU Typist repository (git clone https://git.savannah.gnu.org/git/gtypist.git);
it is in the po/ folder.

@Geoffroy I attached the fr.po file. You can update the previous translation.

Look for the # fuzzy tag. It marks the text strings that need updating.
And for empty text strings (msgstr ""), these have not been translated yet.
