We shouldn't print it because the kernel should print less, not more,
at bootup.
If the kernel prints more than one screen of information, it has
printed too much, for the simple reason that it will be hard to read
when diagnosing problems.
Many's the time I've cursed Linux for printing sixty lines of crap,
obscuring the useful lines I needed to read.
