There is no other property; it looks like lyricMelismaAlignment was simply
forgotten in the code that sets lyrics of the style "word _ _" that you use
under phrasing slurs.
Neil mentioned the problem a few emails back, and has already created a fix so
that lyricMelismaAlignment will control both types of melismata in the next
release of Lilypond.
