I just read through your description there Sami, it is very clear,
thanks for taking the time to summarise your work. This is very
helpful.

You have demonstrated that Lilypond can do the job, but it took a
while to get there, and no-one in the community was able to give you a
complete answer right away. So I think there must be a documentation
enhancement and perhaps a snippet that can be made from this.

I'm on duty today so I'll take responsibility to do the necessary
admin.
