That's good to hear. Actually I wasn't even aware that tar (GNU tar,
that is) is still actively developed. I thought it was merely a
well-conserved UNIX dinosaur piece of software.

That's excellent!  I wondered why --exclude-caches wasn't working with my incrementals!

I had stopped using the feature, which was a shame.
