People who are interested in the wget development can follow this
mailing-list or check the development version available on git from time
to time, the new progress bar wasn't a last second surprise.
The re-designed progress bar makes sense when there will be multiple
downloads happening at the same time, this was the main reason why it
was developed as part of our parallel/wget effort (that is not ready
yet) and merging this feature quicker will make the transition
smoother (at least in our plans :) )
