There are two ways to "best" install GR + friends from source. Other methods cannot guarantee that everything is rigorously up-to-date,On 10/19/2016 03:56 PM, Jose Ruvalcaba wrote:
JoseThanks,I built the gr-osmosdr using the cmake instructions:I built Gnuradio and all its gr folders using sudo apt-get install gnuradio. As for having the UHD compiled into my gr-osmosdr, can you shine light on how I can go about doing this?
git clone git://git.osmocom.org/gr-osmosdr
cd gr-osmosdr/
mkdir build
cd build/
cmake ../
make
sudo make install
sudo ldconfig

You don't appear to have UHD compiled-in to your gr-osmosdr, so that's one problem. On 10/18/2016 07:36 PM, Jose Ruvalcaba wrote:

How did you build GR + friends?
and installing from pre-packaged binaries will almost always cause you grief if you use other peoples code that's "modern".
See:
http://gnuradio.org/redmine/projects/gnuradio/wiki/ InstallingGRFromSource
But if you want to stick with packaged binaries, then you need to install uhd from packaged binaries as well *before* building gr-osmosdr,
otherwise, UHD support won't be compiled in to gr-osmosdr--there's no away around that.
