Compiling GNUstep on OpenBSD

I've been using GNUstep on FreeBSD for a while now, but I'm switching
one of my workstations to OpenBSD.

So far, the shared library compilation has been failing.  After
reading through some group archives, it looks like it has to do with
either how the shared libs are linked or possible ELF format.

Any ideas if the latest GNUstep release can be ported to OpenBSD 3.3? 
What about OpenBSD 3.3-current, which is all ELF, IIUC?
