As a side node, I use a self-made script that iterates through all the 
core- directories, configures, compiles and installs all components. 
For backends, --disable-glitz is NOT used, only --enable-graphics and 
--with-name.
However, it doesn't matter whether glitz is disabled or not, back-xlib 
and -art compile fine in both cases, -cairo stops.
