well - it won't help fixing this issue of course, but it could mean memory saving and also skipping the lookup of stuff in the document controller for non-document based apps (like in this case).
Granted, to the end-user there should be no change in functionality. I thought it would be nice to compare to Apple in this case. Riccardo
