Reading the code (compta/facture/stats/index.php), it seems that Dolibarr is just filtering by invoice authors and not by commercial contact. So, there are 2 possible solutions for this problem:

1. Translation bug. Should only appear "User" in the filter options and not "User/Commercial"

2. Bug. Dolibarr should also filter by commercial contact assigned to each invoice.

What is the expected behaviour?

There was a bug (in fact several), and there was a problem of translation.
Expected behaviour is filter on user that created invoices.
I fixed in 3.4 beta branch
