Well, I'm certainly willing to do the work, since I'm the one who's
complaining.
I suspect converting the actual DEFUNS would be pretty easy, especially
since the string->comment conversion's already been done.
I'll have to look at the makedoc parser though, I don't really know
about that...

[actually I suppose an emacs macro would be the easiest way to do this
sort of thing, since emacs handles parentheses-matching etc., much
better than sed or whatever]
