Well, look in a running Emacs session:
(symbol-plist t) =>
(event-symbol-element-mask (t 0) event-symbol-elements (t) modifier-cache ((0 .
t)))
(symbol-plist nil) =>
(event-symbol-element-mask (nil 0) event-symbol-elements (nil) modifier-cache
((0)))
So somebody _is_ tacking properties onto t and nil.
