I finally found a solution which was proposed to me by Simon King on the
mercury mailing list.
It seems impossible to run hg log from the commandline in order to
obtain a output similar/identical to «git log».
There is however a two step procedure.
- write a style file (I attach the correct one below)
- then run hg log --style /path/to/hgstyle
And voila!
