Sure, actually the patch I sent, already follows Eli's suggestion to
add a new flag :)

+  { "files-with-line-col", no_argument, NULL, 'l' },

so we can use either:
emacsclient -l  somefile:[LINE]:[COLUMN]
emacsclient --files-with-line-col  somefile:[LINE]:[COLUMN]

if no line or column is provided it just open 'somefile' following
Kaushal Modi suggestion.
