Actually LyX is using WYSIWYM paradigm, like What You See Is What You
Mean. If I don't want to think much about formatting within Emacs, I
will use LyX, it offers me quicker LaTeX and other similar TeX based
templates.

After a while of work, after months or years, then I have those
LaTeX templates anyway on computer, so what I do is just open one
LaTeX template, rename it for new purpose, modify the text and insert
new text and voilĂ .

My largest problem with LyX is that I have to use X org based keyboard
bindings to switch between languages as I often use 2-3
languages. Switching the input method in Emacs is so much more
easier with C-\ and setting it up with C-RET-\

I may use Arabic keyboard with some weird hard to find English layout,
Emacs helps there. German input method on US layout, Emacs helps, and
so on.

I just wish other systems would have input methods that well defined.

I like vim and vi editors as well, but input methods are missing or I
do not know how to set it, so I have to use xmodmap.
