Re: Translating Emacs manuals is of strategic importance

I wanted to answer that for a long time, but the LO Help translation 
started when StarOffice first published the software, was then handled 
by Sun Microsystem for a long time and when LibreOffice came into 
existence, the manual already existed as an ongoing international 
project with a stable infrastructure, accepted workflows, etc. I still 
remember vividly when we had “project managers” working on Sun side, and 
Sun was also working with translation vendors, had started working on 
mtpe, etc.

So comparing the two translation projects only based on their size when 
one is close to 4 decades old and extremely mature and the other 
barely starting does not seem to be a meaningful comparison.
