Indeed, according to what I always knew, MSYS is supposed to be used
only to build tools required to build packages using Autoconf.  This
means it should be used to build:

  . Bash
  . Make
  . Coreutils
  . Grep
  . Findutils
  . Gawk
  . Flex
  . Bison
  . Diffutils
  . Tar
  . Perl

and basically nothing else.
